Wildlife Guide Author Terms

These terms apply when you sell a Wildlife Guide on AnimalDex. They sit alongside the AnimalDex Terms of Use.

AnimalDex builds a guide for each place where you share wild sightings, and a public guide can be bought before you accept these terms. You are paid for a sale only once you have accepted them (section 7).

1. Who can sell

To be paid you must be 18 or older and in good standing on AnimalDex. You confirm your age when you accept these terms.

2. What you sell

A Wildlife Guide is advice built from your own sightings: your notes, answers to buyers' questions, and introductions to people you met. You are not guiding anyone in person, and AnimalDex does not organise tours. Keep your guide accurate and honest; never promise sightings.

3. Answering buyers

When someone buys your guide we tell you in the app, by push notification and by email, and the buyer's chat opens in your Messages. You must reply in that chat within 48 hours; we remind you 12 hours before the deadline. If you don't reply, the buyer is refunded automatically, you are not paid for that sale, and your guide stops selling (it stays visible) until you resume sales in your Shop.

4. Wildlife and the law

Never share exact locations or times for threatened species, never encourage disturbing, feeding, touching or chasing wildlife, and respect park rules, permits and local laws.

5. Contacts

Only share people's contact details with their permission. Arrangements between a buyer and anyone you introduce are between them; AnimalDex is not a party to them.

6. Refunds

Buyers can ask for a refund within 7 days. Refunded purchases are not paid to you.

7. Payment

You receive 70% of each sale after app-store or card fees, added to your Earnings 8 days after the purchase if it was not refunded. If you have not accepted these terms by then, your share is held and added to your Earnings as soon as you accept them. Payouts follow the Earnings terms. You are responsible for your own taxes.

8. Removal

AnimalDex may hide a guide or stop you selling if a guide breaks these terms or the AnimalDex Terms of Use. Reversed payments after payout may be recovered from your Earnings.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; you will be asked to accept the new version before further sales are paid to you.
