Female Orgyia postica are flightless. They sit on the cocoon, release scent, lay eggs on their own body scales, and the next generation starts on the same tree. The male is the only one that travels.
Prinsip spesies: Sealed Trust

Some work only holds if one of you stays inside and the other never stops arriving.
The female Rhyticeros cassidix seals herself into a nest hole. The male feeds her and the chicks through a slit until they emerge. The red casque is Sulawesi's; the breeding system is the principle.

Argiope luzona builds an orb across garden and forest-edge gaps in the Philippines and writes a pale cross on the hub. The cross is both a warning to birds and the spider's address.

Arion rufus travels on a mucus trail and dries out in sun. The whole feeding life happens on wet nights and rainy days; a dry afternoon is a reason to be under a log, not a reason to try harder.

Macaca sinica is confined to Sri Lanka. The toque — a whorl of hair on the crown — is the field mark that separates it from every other macaque, and the three subspecies are already splitting across shrinking dry-zone and wet-zone forest.

Oecobius navus spins a small star-shaped retreat on walls and under stones, then rushes out to wrap ants. The web is a few centimetres across. The hunt is patience plus one sprint.

Ptilinopus eugeniae lives on Makira in the Solomon Islands and almost nowhere else. A white head in a green canopy is the island's fruit dove, not a wide-ranging Treron.
