About this place
The Pannonhalma Arboretum Nature Conservation Area lies in the rolling hills of north-western Hungary, between Győr and the Bakony foothills. The author's sightings here are of small creatures: a shield bug, a powder blue isopod, a daddy long-legs spider, house flies and a small cabbage white butterfly in a grassy area with foliage. All sightings came from two days in August. The author found things across the day, with sightings in the morning around 9, at midday, in the afternoon and one near dusk around 6 pm. Butterflies and shield bugs turned up in the morning, while the spider and flies were seen in the afternoon. This is a virtual guide written by someone who has already been there, not a tour. You get the author's notes on each species and can message the author with questions about the visit. Wildlife is never guaranteed, and these are records from a short summer stay.Read more
