Cave Tending power
Quick answer
The Bristlenose Pleco's power is cave tending. Something you start only finishes if someone stays with it. This interpretation is grounded in real behavior: Male Ancistrus claim a hollow in sunken wood, attract a female to lay inside it, then remain with the clutch for days — fanning it with their fins and driving off anything that comes close — while the female leaves. The branched snout bristles that name the fish grow on the sex that holds the cave.
