Best time

The author's sightings were all in August, spread from midday through the afternoon to dusk and late evening.

About this place

Stronie Śląskie sits in the Kłodzko region of Lower Silesia, between the Śnieżnik Massif and the Bialskie Mountains, close to the Czech border. The author's sightings here are small creatures of the mountain foothills: an alderfly, a common field grasshopper in a grassy field, a common European harvestman, a house fly and a chicken mite logged near the Nowa Morawa nature reserve. All five sightings came over three days in August. The author found things across the day, with a grasshopper at midday, an alderfly and a house fly in the early afternoon, a harvestman around dusk and a mite late at night, so a mix of daytime meadow walks and an evening look around is worth planning. This is a virtual guide written by someone who has been there, not a tour. You get the author's notes on each species and can message the author with questions about the area. Wildlife is wild, and sightings are never guaranteed.Read more
