How Minior compares to the real Chocolate Chip Sea Star

Minior's official category is the Meteor Pokémon. AnimalDex rates its resemblance to the Chocolate Chip Sea Star as a broad match, meaning the animal is one influence in a largely fantasy design. Minior is a meteor with a star-shaped core, mostly a space object design; its star-shaped body is the trait that makes a sea star the nearest real animal comparison.

The comparison covers looks and behavior cues, not biology: Minior is a fictional Pokémon, while the Chocolate Chip Sea Star (Protoreaster nodosus) is a real marine invertebrate. On AnimalDex the real Chocolate Chip Sea Star scores 18 for dominance, 3 for speed, 14 for size and 4 for intelligence, out of 100, so its strongest trait is dominance.

Official category: Meteor Pokemon. This page is an AnimalDex comparison for real-animal resemblance, not an official design-origin claim.
