How does AnimalDex find animals in my Instagram posts?

After you connect, AnimalDex reviews your posts at a high level to look for animals. Photos are checked first. Videos get a closer look when a still is not enough. You then choose which detected posts to import.

Steps: connect Instagram, start the scan, wait until review is ready, then select candidates. You can leave the screen; a durable job can resume when you return.

What can go wrong: no animal is detected, no new posts since the last check, the scan fails, or some videos cannot be sampled on the current device.

What to do next: use Check for new posts after you add more wildlife photos. If videos were skipped, retry later or import those Reels from the iOS app.
