What happens after I import an Instagram post?

Eligible original media becomes a real AnimalDex capture in your Dex. Imported posts may publish to Discover. They help build your collection. They do not replace a live field scan.

Steps: after import, open See them in my Dex to view the new captures. Named failures stay on the summary if some posts could not download.

What can go wrong: expired media URLs, deleted Instagram posts, or a partial materialize failure. A partial import is not labelled as a total failure.

What to do next: retry failed posts if they are still on Instagram, or capture new finds live in the field.
