Why do I need to confirm the location of an imported post?

An import is a historical claim about where the animal was when you photographed it. AnimalDex does not use your current GPS and does not treat a caption or hashtag as the location.

Steps: select the posts, search for the real place, confirm it. If you do not know, mark unknown.

What can go wrong: unknown location stays blocked. Incomplete location review also stays blocked. Caption place names are not applied automatically.

What to do next: search for the place of the photograph. Unknown is an honest answer; it does not unlock import.
