Why do I need to confirm the species before importing?

Detected identity is a starting point. You confirm the animal this post shows, including group-level identities when that is how AnimalDex indexes the catalog.

Steps: select the post, choose from the suggested identities, then continue. A species-level name is not forced when the catalog does not support one.

What can go wrong: no identity selected, several animals in one frame, or a lookalike group that should stay a group.

What to do next: confirm the honest identity before import. If the model found nothing, use Unknown animal only in that case.
